Our lives are a summation of moments
And not all moments are the same
There are sad moments and happy ones
And a whole spectrum of moments we cannot define
We may not choose the moment we are in
Fate, people and circumstance may have the choice
Yet it is us who turn the tides of our moments
It is us who paints the picture that is seen
Each moment may start out with a defined tone
And our responses to it may be limited
Yet we do have an option of responses
And good may become bad and bad may become good
Every moment is a gift of some kind
Of experience, feeling or perspective
And sadness can become happiness' seed
A seed that is ours to nurture.
