Boxing Day is about the people who serve you:
Messengers;
Delivery Men;
Maids;
Housekeepers;
Butlers and the like.
It is the one day of the year when they are allowed to approach you for a gift of appreciation...

We do things differently now though
However the spirit of the day remains.
