| Mistakes: Embracing Community |
Many people look at Mistakes from the perspective of Consequences or from the perspective of the Lesson learned but there is more to it than that.
One of the least advertised facts about Mistakes is that they are also a reminder of our connection to our Community. In fact, it is quite possible that we are never more aware of our connection to our community than when we make a Mistake. Suddenly, there are hurt people around us, concerned people around us, angry people around us, uncaring people around us and on and on. We are hit by a whiplash of people, connections and disconnections that we never even knew was there.
And so for me, I have come to see Mistakes as an opportunity to reassess my connection to the people around me - My Community.
Over the course of the coming days, I will be sharing some lessons that my Mistakes have taught me about Community.*
