The past and the 'What should have been's'
Are constantly spinning webs around us
And the webs are hardly ever sticker than on New Years Eve
As we write our New Year Resolutions
We do it suspiciously... managing our expectations
Because we do not want to be disappointed again or regret anything
We often underestimate the power regrets wield over us
And so despite our yearnings we are bound to be caught in its web again
Especially if we are not careful
Disappointment is not what we need to be careful of
It is an intricate part of the human experience - as evidenced by our emotional response to it
The web of regrets it spins is however the real terror
When you are caught in a web of regrets you become limited
Every experience can only be felt through the web of regret
And the web clings to your very essence
Which is why you should do what you can to get free
Cut through the webs of regret,
So you can see, feel and experience everything as Nature and God intended
So maybe some stuff did not work out in the past year
So, maybe you cannot reclaim the time you have lost....
But do not lose the future to regret
Dream again
Try again
The future is yours to wield.
