Our character is formed in all the in between moments.
If you miss a person's in-between moments, you will never understand that person's character because you were not privy to their experiences, their feelings, their decisions, their whys.
If you want to understand a person's actions you must discover their in-between moments, the contexts that make their actions seem irrational, brilliant, ordinary or stupid.
Perhaps if you gain the knowledge of their in-between, they will not look the same way to you. You may forgive them, you may love them, you may assist them.
We all are dysfunctional in our own ways - impacted as we are by clashing ideals driven by in-between moments we missed and have no information about.
That is why the middle is so important, everything you hate and love was created there.
Every divergence of opinion is a fallback of different experiences having different impacts, processed in different ways and formed into action by different people.
Unfortunately, we will never be able to gain the perspective of the middle for so many conflicts today but we can pay attention to the moment that we are in today so that we can make sense of other people's feelings and actions and opinions tomorrow.
So that we can all learn to love and forgive each other for our faults and maybe create a world of people who pursue peace more than war.
In the same way no story - no life - makes sense without the middle parts. If you hear the beginning and then heard the end, you might be titillated but the end does not exist without the middle and the beginning is no beginning if it doesn't take you past the middle.
Because the point of the story is not the beginning neither is it the end even though it is what we long most to read. The point of the story is the middle, the imperfection, the continuation, the not yet theres. The middle is where it all happens.. the experiences that impacted the canvas, the way the canvas responded to the onslaught of experiences, how it processed those experiences.
The middle defines the end product. The interactions, conflicts and struggles of the middle are what determines the end. We always lift the beginning up to see what lies in the middle because it is the only way to understand the end. The middle tells you how a beginning became an ending and so the beginning only exists for the process of the middle.
The middle, is the point of the story - it always has been.
That is why you should live in the middle... in the moment, because the future is taking place right now!
