I always thought love and dreams
Were a perfect pair like sunshine and vanilla ice cream
I thought love and sacrifice
Was a cliche since love always triumphs
But love and dreams are not always a good match
Yet love and sacrifice walk in step
Because dreams are not always compatible with love
And someone's sacrifice may mean the death of a dream
The death of a dream may breed resentment
It may kill the love we have for one another
So, we sacrifice the comfort of being together
To protect our love from resentment
One day we will both have our dreams
