I remember a Christmas when I could rest and relax
I remember a Christmas where we string up Christmas lights in November
I remember a Christmas where we had hope knowing gifts were coming our way.
When the year starts, we all look forward to the December period.
All year long, we push and drive ourselves to accomplish as much as we can.
We look down that year-long-road waiting to reward ourselves for all the pressures of the year.
For years we have declared that Christmas this year was not as great as the last.
We declare that there is less money and less outlets for the steam that we have built up all year.
We expect to be disappointed by the mediocrity of the celebrations and we wait to be proved right.
Yet Christmas is not about the gifts, it is about the hope salvation brings.
Christmas is not in the fairy lights we put up, it is in the renewed knowledge of God's love.
Christmas is not just about renewing your vigor, it is the strength we find in total surrender to God.
Strength, Light, Hope.
Victory, Acceptance, Deliverance
God's Power, God's Love, God's Salvation - That is God's Christmas gift to you.
